OCC names next deputy comptroller for supervision risk management

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency named Bob Phelps deputy comptroller for supervision risk management, in which role he will also chair the national risk committee.

The appointment takes effect Oct. 30. Phelps, who currently serves as director for critical infrastructure policy, will succeed Darrin Benhart. Benhart, in turn, is taking on a large-bank supervision role.
