FalvezEnergy has secured construction financing for the planned 163-MW Falvez Astrawind project from GE EnergyFinancial Services.
TheGeneral Electric Co. subsidiaryand BNP Paribas SA will also provide 50% each of the long-term tax equity forthe project.
The projectin Randall, Castro, and Deaf Smith counties, Texas, will use 68 GE 2.4-107 windturbine generators and its output will be delivered through a new 14-mile.345-kV transmission line to the SharylandUtilities LP Windmill Substation. GE will also operate and maintainthe facility for 10 years, according to a Sept. 27 company release.
