Sky Ltd.'s Sky Mobile rolled out its 5G service in 20 cities and towns across the U.K., including London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Leeds.

The company aims to deliver 5G connectivity to 50 U.K. areas by the summer.

Customers signed up to Sky's loyalty scheme can subscribe to the next-generation wireless service for free.

Sky Mobile's rollout follows several others in the region. British Telecom unit EE Ltd. launched 5G in October 2019. Meanwhile, Vodafone Group PLC recently expanded its 5G network's reach to Ireland and a few locations in U.K.
