Entrust Financial, Christian Community cancel merger

The merger between Richmond, Va.-based Entrust Financial CU and San Dimas, Calif.-based Christian Community CU will not push through, Henrico (Va.) Citizen reported June 1, citing Entrust's board.

The California Department of Business Oversight received the credit unions' merger application in November 2016. Despite lengthy talks, the two parties were unable to come to an agreement, according to the news outlet.

As of March 31, Entrust Financial CU had $74.7 million in assets, while Christian Community CU had $660.5 million in assets.
