Platypus Minerals Ltd. was granted an exploration license over the Euriowie lithium project in New South Wales, Australia.

The project covers 17 units covering about 49 square kilometers, and the area includes three historical mine workings in lithium-bearing deposits.

Exploration at Euriowie will start in the December quarter and comprise surface mapping and geochemical sampling to target drilling, the company said Sept. 26.
