NextEra Energy Partners registers $150M of common units

NextEra Energy Partners on July 5 filed a shelf registration statement for the potential sale of up to $150 million of common units from time to time.

The partnership intends to contribute the net proceeds from any sale of the securities to NextEra Energy Operating Partners, or NEP OpCo, in exchange for NEP OpCo common units. NEP OpCo plans to use the net proceeds for general partnership purposes, which may include repaying debt, future acquisitions, capital expenditures and additions to working capital.
