Diversified miner Vedanta Resources Plc said Sept. 30 that it appointed Arun Kumar as CFO of the group.

Kumar was previously acting as deputy CFO, a role he took on in 2014, after joining the company in 2013 as CFO of the company's aluminum and power segment.

Kumar replaces Din Dayal Jalan, who is retiring effective Sept. 30 after working with the group for 16 years. Jalan was also a board member of Vedanta Ltd., the company's Indian unit.
