Former Raymond James i-banker heading KBW's diversified financials team

FormerRaymond James & AssociatesInc. investment banker Keith Meyers has taken over as head ofKeefe Bruyette & WoodsInc.'s diversified financials investment banking after thedeparture of Halle Benett, according to a source with knowledge of thesituation.

Meyershas been registered with KBW since Sept. 23, according to FINRA records. Meyersspent about nine years at Raymond James in two different with the company.  

Benettjoined Melody Capital PartnersLP on Sept. 1 as a managing director and will cover financialinstitutions. Melody Capital COO and Partner Terri Lecamp confirmed Benett'shire.

Benettjoined KBW in 2014,and before that he was a senior adviser with Ares Management LLC. Earlier in his career, Benett wasglobal head of specialty finance and head of the financial institutions groupfor the Americas at UBSSecurities LLC.

KBWis a subsidiary of StifelFinancial Corp.
