MunichRe CEO Nikolaus von Bomhard has told the Financial Times that he would be open to returning to chair thecompany in 2019.
Von Bomhard plans to step down as CEO in April 2017 andwould have to serve a two-year cooling-off period under German corporategovernance rules. That would make him eligible to return when Chairman BerndPischetsrieder's contract expires in 2019, the newspaper noted.
"The option is out there for both the company andmyself," von Bomhard said in an interview published July 10. "I wouldnot exclude it."
