Hershey invests in Irish nutrition bars maker, New York chocolatier

Confectioner The Hershey Co. said Aug. 19 that its venture arm C7 Ventures made minority investments in snacking businesses Fulfil Holdings Ltd. and Blue Stripes LLC.

Fulfil is an Ireland-based nutrition bars maker, with distribution channels across the U.K. and Ireland, while Blue Stripes is a New York-based cacao shop founded by Israeli chocolatier Oded Brenner.

The investments will enable the Pennsylvania-based chocolate giant to expand its snacking portfolio and tap into new consumer segments and markets, Hershey said in a statement.

C7 Ventures was set up by the company to invest in new technologies and go-to-market opportunities.
