Berkshire Hathaway prices yen-denominated senior notes offering

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has priced the offering of ¥430 billion of senior notes.

The offering comprises ¥108.5 billion of notes with a 0.170% coupon due 2024; ¥61 billion of notes with a 0.270% coupon due 2026; ¥146.5 billion of notes with a 0.440% coupon due 2029; ¥19 billion of notes with a 0.787% coupon due 2034; ¥59 billion of notes with a 0.965% coupon due 2039; and ¥36 billion of notes with a 1.108% coupon due 2049.

The settlement date is Sept. 13.

The notes will bear interest semiannually on March 13 and Sept. 13 of each year, beginning March 13, 2020.

As of Sept. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.8.
