EOG Resources offloads NM water assets to Oilfield Water Logistics

EOG Resources Inc. sold its water infrastructure assets in New Mexico to Texas-based Oilfield Water Logistics LLC for an unknown amount.

EOG Resources confirmed the sale, according to a Jan. 8 report from the Houston Chronicle. The assets sold include 23 saltwater disposal wells and 300 miles of water gathering pipelines, according to a Jan. 6 news release.

The Permian Basin-focused EOG Resources also signed a long-term contract with Oilfield Water Logistics for water infrastructure services.

The companies have not disclosed other financial details of the acquisition. Scotiabank, Jackson Walker LLP and King & Spalding LLP served as advisers for Oilfield Water Services.

EOG Resources explores for and produces crude oil and gas in New Mexico, North Dakota and Texas, among other locations. Oilfield Water Logistics provides water services to the energy industry.
