RBS swings to H1 profit, in talks to set up EU base in Amsterdam

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc reported first-half unaudited net profit attributable to ordinary shareholders of £1.17 billion, compared with a loss of £108 million in the prior-year period.

CFO Ewen Stevenson told Bloomberg TV that the bank is in advanced discussions with the Dutch central bank about establishing a small European headquarters in Amsterdam.
