Germany's jobless rate unchanged at 3.2% in April

Germany's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.2% in April, unchanged from the previous month, provisional data from the Federal Statistical Office showed.

The adjusted unemployment rate was 3.4% in April 2018.

The number of people unemployed in Germany came in at 1.38 million in April, down approximately 11,200 compared with the previous month on an adjusted basis.

Meanwhile, the number of people employed in Germany rose by 32,000, or by 0.1% on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis in April.

On an unadjusted basis, the rate came in at 3.2% in April, compared to 3.5% the prior month.
