Chubu transfers stake in US power marketer, gas plants to JV

Chubu ElectricPower Co. Inc. has transferred its equity interests in Chubu TTEnergy Management Inc. to joint venture JERA Co. Inc. alongside stakes incertain U.S. generating facilities, according to a July 6 release.

JERA is 50% owned by Chubu Electric and 50% by .

Chubu Electric held a 17.5% indirect, non-controlling equitystake in each of the Kiamichi, Georgia,Virginia andTenaska Central Alabamagas-powered facilities.

Chubu Electric also held an 11.1% noncontrolling stake inthe Gatewaygas-fired facility. (EC16-98)
