Oomitsu Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended May 31 was ¥13.56 per share, an increase of 26.0% from ¥10.77 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥160.6 million, an increase of 26.0% from ¥127.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.2% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 7.2% year over year to ¥13.34 billion from ¥12.45 billion, and total operating expenses grew 6.9% year over year to ¥13.08 billion from ¥12.24 billion.
Reported net income fell 75.0% on an annual basis to ¥54.0 million, or ¥4.56 per share, from ¥216.0 million, or ¥18.24 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥29.92 per share, an increase from ¥9.50 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥354.4 million, a rise from ¥112.5 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 8.5% on an annual basis to ¥49.88 billion from ¥45.99 billion, and total operating expenses increased 7.7% year over year to ¥49.32 billion from ¥45.81 billion.
The company said reported net income came to ¥213.0 million, or ¥17.99 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥144.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.16 per share, the prior year.
