AES PanamáSRL has received requisite consents from holders of its 6% seniornotes to increase the limitation on restricted payments, including dividends,to up to $60 million from $25 million.
Concurrently, the AES Corp. subsidiary and trustee Deutsche Bank Trust Co.Americas executed a supplemental indenture containing a proposed amendment tothe outstanding notes 2022, according to a company statement.
The changes will go into effect after the registration ofthe supplemental indenture with the Superintendency of the Securities Marketsof the Republic of Panama becomes effective, the company said in a statement.AES Panamá will pay eligible noteholders a consent fee of $2.50 for each $1,000principal amount of notes.
Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. acted as solicitation agent,while D. F. King & Co. Inc. acted as the information and tabulation agentfor the consent solicitation, which expired at 12 p.m. ET Sept. 26.
