Tokyo Individualized Educational fiscal Q3 profit climbs 20.6% YOY

Tokyo Individualized Educational Institute Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, was ¥6.06 per share, an increase of 20.6% from ¥5.02 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥328.8 million, an increase of 20.6% from ¥272.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 8.5% from 7.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 9.4% on an annual basis to ¥3.87 billion from ¥3.54 billion, and total operating expenses rose 7.7% from the prior-year period to ¥3.35 billion from ¥3.11 billion.

Reported net income increased 26.7% on an annual basis to ¥332.0 million, or ¥6.12 per share, from ¥262.0 million, or ¥4.83 per share.
