D. E. Shaw picks Swinerton to construct Ariz. solar facility

Swinerton RenewableEnergy said April 26 that it had been selected by a affiliateto construct the 30-MW AC RedHorse 3 solar project near Willcox, Ariz.

The facility will sell its output to Fortis Inc. subsidiary Tucson Electric Power Co. once completed during the quarter.Blymyer Engineers is providing engineering services, according to the news release.

Swinerton will also provide operations and maintenance servicesfor the project for a 10-year period as well as for the Red Horse 2 facility.
