On-demand insurance platform provider Slice Labs raises $11.6M

Slice Labs Inc., provider of an on-demand insurance platform for rideshare and homeshare risks in the U.S., has raised $11.6 million in a series A investment round.

The fundraising round was led by XL Innovate. Horizons Ventures, Munich Re / HSB Ventures, SOMPO, Plug and Play and Tusk Ventures also participated.

Slice Labs secured $3.9 million in seed funding in 2016, led by Horizons Ventures and XL Innovate. The New York City-based company provides its homeshare product in 26 states across the U.S. and plans to have it in all 50 states by the end of the year.
