Regulators approve California American Water to acquire Fruitridge Vista Water

The California Public Utilities Commission on Dec. 19 approved California American Water Co.'s acquisition of Fruitridge Vista Water Co.'s operating assets for $20.75 million.

After the acquisition closes, expected by Jan. 31, 2020, California American Water will serve about 4,800 connections in southern Sacramento County.

California American Water is a subsidiary of American Water Works Co. Inc.
