Astorg reached the €4.0 billion hard cap for its Astorg VII fund, which the European private equity firm said held a final close just three months after its launch.

The amount raised, which surpassed the initial target of €3.2 billion, came from global investors, including pension funds, institutional asset managers, insurers and sovereign wealth funds across Europe, North America and Asia.

Astorg said it will deploy the fund primarily in European businesses with valuations of €200 million to €2 billion, and occasionally in U.S. healthcare and software companies.
