Amazon.comInc. plans to launch its third-party streaming program in Europethrough Amazon Video, Digital TV Europe reported July 25.
The company reportedly said that it will launch something similarin Europe, according to a job posting for a senior digital content editor,whose job entails that the "additional subscription content" is "wellpresented and promoted across Amazon Video." In Europe, Amazon offersPrime Video in the United Kingdom,Germanyand Austria. The e-commerce giant is also looking for a headof marketing for Amazon Video subscriptions in Europe as well as a London-basedsenior manager for software development for Amazon Channels, the report added.
Amazon launcheda program in December 2015 that provides its U.S. Prime members access toover-the-top streaming subscriptions to third-party video providers such asShowtime (US) andStarz (US).
