The tenure of current Governor Erdem Basçi ends April 19,Reuters noted.
Davutoglu discussed the decision with Turkish President RecepTayyip Erdogan prior to the nomination, according to the sources. Çetinkaya hasserved as a deputy governor at the Turkish central bank since June 2012 and hasa background in Islamic banking, Reuters noted.
