Japan Gold Corp. added the Tobaru and Ohra-Takamine projects to its epithermal gold exploration portfolio in Japan.
The projects, which comprise nine applications over 3,028 hectares collectively, have been accepted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The company's portfolio now comprises 69,505 hectares over 17 separate projects on the three main islands of the country.
Japan Gold said Oct. 10 that it holds priority over these areas and is now authorized to commence surface exploration on the projects.
The company will use the existing data with detailed surface mapping, geochemical sampling and geophysics to target new zones and extensions to known veins on the projects for scout drill testing.
