BHP's chief technology officer to step down in early 2020

Diversified miner BHP Group's Chief Technology Officer Diane Jurgens will leave the company in early 2020.

Vice President Technology Global Transformation Rag Udd has been appointed acting chief technology officer, effective Dec. 14.

Jurgens is moving back to the U.S. to pursue other opportunities and be closer to her family, according to the Dec. 9 release.

Recently, Newmont Goldcorp Corp. and Rio Tinto veteran Gary Goldberg decided to join BHP's board as an independent nonexecutive director, effective Feb. 1, 2020.
