Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Q2 profit falls YOY

PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 19.72 rupiah per share, a decline of 8.8% from 21.62 rupiah per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.294 trillion rupiah, a decrease of 8.8% from 2.515 trillion rupiah in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 18.0% from 18.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 7.9% on an annual basis to 12.732 trillion rupiah from 13.829 trillion rupiah, and total operating expenses decreased 8.1% year over year to 9.255 trillion rupiah from 10.067 trillion rupiah.

Reported net income declined 8.9% on an annual basis to 2.759 trillion rupiah, or 23.72 rupiah per share, from 3.029 trillion rupiah, or 26.04 rupiah per share.

As of July 27, US$1 was equivalent to 13,318 rupiah.
