First Empire Securities Inc. has added to its fixed-income sales team with the hires of Sean McGlynn and Ed Sistowicz.

McGlynn and Sistowicz joined the company in January as senior vice presidents in fixed-income strategies, Marketing Director Bonnie Moser said.

McGlynn is based in Atlanta and was most recently with ZimCal Asset Management. He also spent about five years with FIG Partners LLC, according to FINRA records.

Sistowicz is based in Chicago and has experience in the municipal bond market. He was previously with First Trust Portfolios LP, a company he joined in 1999.

First Empire also recently bolstered its asset-backed securities desk by hiring three managing directors.
