Delta Apparel Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 28 amounted to a loss of 14 cents per share, compared with a loss of 4 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of $1.1 million, compared with a loss of $310,000 in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 1.0% from negative 0.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to $115.0 million, compared with $114.5 million in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to $115.4 million from $113.5 million.
Reported net income came to $3.7 million, or 46 cents per share, compared to a loss of $793,900, or a loss of 10 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
