BNP Paribas makes management appointments at retail arm

BNP Paribas SAmade three management appointments at its retail business as part of the bank'sdigital transformation.

Specifically, BNP Paribas namedSophie Heller COO for retail banking and services and Béatrice Cossa Dumurgierhead of personal investors, effective July 4. The bank also named FranciskaDecuypere head of retail and SME banking at its international retail bankingdivision, effective Sept. 1.

Heller, who will also serve as anexecutive committee member at BNP Paribas Domestic Markets, will be mainlyresponsible for helping the group's various retail banking businesses totransition their business models.

Heller joins BNP Paribas fromING Groep NV unitING Direct, where shewas head of retail banking. She will report to Thierry Laborde, group deputyCOO and head of domestic markets, and Jacques d'Estais, group deputy COO andhead of international financial services.

Dumurgier will report to Labordeand will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the personal investorsdivision's product and service range. She previously served as COO at BNPParibas Retail Banking and head of the group's retail development andinnovation unit.

Decuypere will become a member ofthe international retail banking division's executive committee and will reportto division head Stefaan Decraene. She was previously head of the personalinvestors division.
