ABN AMRO names supervisory board chairman

ABN AMRO GroupNV said April 6 that it named Olga Zoutendijk, currently vicechairman of the supervisory board, as chairman.

The appointment is subject to ECB approval, which isexpected to be announced before the May 18 annual general meeting.

Current supervisory board Chairman Rik van Slingelandt andboard member Hans de Haan informed the board of their decision to not stand forre-election at the AGM. Bert Meerstadt intends to resign from the supervisoryboard in 2016.

The group said it will nominate Arjen Dorland, FrederiekeLeeflang and Tjalling Tiemstra as new members of the board.
