German digital bank N26 eyes Swiss expansion

Germany-based digital bank N26 GmbH is planning an expansion into Switzerland with a new office in the next "two to three months," Swiss newspaper St. Galler Tagblatt reported March 24, citing N26 CEO Valentin Stalf.

According to Stalf, who was speaking at the Start Summit, the bank was eyeing a March launch in the country but delayed it because it was not ready in time, the newspaper said. The challenger bank recently said 10,000 Swiss customers have signed up on a waiting list for its accounts, according to a Finews report.
