Basso Industry Q3 profit climbs YOY

Basso Industry Corp. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to NT$3.00 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$3.31 per share.

EPS increased year over year from NT$1.40.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$437.0 million, an increase from NT$215.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 48.0% from 24.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to NT$910.7 million from NT$885.5 million, and total operating expenses climbed 6.1% year over year to NT$749.0 million from NT$705.9 million.

Reported net income rose year over year to NT$643.9 million, or NT$4.42 per share, from NT$285.2 million, or NT$1.86 per share.
