Fitch affirms Solar Capital ratings

Fitch Ratings on Aug. 10 affirmed Solar Capital Ltd.'s long-term issuer default rating, and senior secured and unsecured debt ratings, at BBB-.

The rating outlook is stable.

The ratings affirmation, according to Fitch, reflects the agency's view that the proposed raise in Solar Capital's debt-to-equity leverage ratio to a maximum of 2.0x from 1.0x, effective Aug. 2, 2019, is offset by an anticipated incremental improvement in the risk profile of the portfolio, among other things.
