Lithuanian central bank assigns capital requirement for Šiaulių bankas

Šiauliu bankas AB was assigned an additional capital requirement of 1.9% of its total risk-weighted exposure by the Lithuanian central bank, effective Dec. 31.

The additional capital requirement is 0.1 percentage point lower than that assigned as of October 2015, the bank said Dec. 27. It means that taking into account all capital requirements assigned to the bank, the lender will need to have a minimum common equity Tier 1 ratio of 9.4% and a minimum total capital adequacy ratio of 12.9%.

The additional requirement was assigned under the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process, a pan-European system of assigning bank-specific capital requirements.
