H.R. Textile Mills fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

H.R. Textile Mills Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended March 31 was 32 poisha per share, a decline of 46.9% from 60 poisha per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.1 million taka, a decrease of 46.2% from 15.0 million taka in the prior-year period.

Total revenue declined 29.0% year over year to 549.9 million taka from 774.9 million taka, and total operating expenses declined 28.5% on an annual basis to 537.0 million taka from 750.9 million taka.

Reported net income decreased 46.2% from the prior-year period to 11.0 million taka, or 43 poisha per share, from 20.4 million taka, or 81 poisha per share.

As of April 29, US$1 was equivalent to 77.94 taka.
