AustralianPrime Minister Malcolm Turnbull implemented a string of changes to his Cabinet,including removing the environment minister post and replacing it with anexpanded environment and energy minister role, Mining Weekly reported July 18.
Fromheading the environment portfolio, Greg Hunt will transition to become thecountry's industry, science and innovation minister, while former ResourcesMinister Josh Frydenberg was named as environment and energy minister. Tosucceed Frydenberg, Sen. Matt Canavan was appointed as resources minister.
Accordingto the report, the Queensland Resources Council and the Australian PetroleumProduction and Exploration Association welcomed Turnbull's Cabinet changes.
