Edinburgh Investment appoints nonexecutive director; Swissquote exec resigns

Edinburgh Investment Trust PLC

Edinburgh Investment Trust plc board appointed Elisabeth Stheeman nonexecutive director, effective May 23.

Stheeman is an external member of the Financial Policy Committee and Financial Markets Infrastructure board of the Bank of England.

Meanwhile, Nigel Wicks will retire as nonexecutive director and senior independent director of Edinburgh Investment Trust's board. His retirement will take effect after the next annual general meeting.

Victoria Hastings will be named senior independent director upon Wicks' retirement.

Swissquote Group Holding AG

Ryan Nettles is stepping down as head of foreign exchange trading and market strategy at Swissquote Group Holding AG to pursue a new project, Finance Magnates reported.

Swissquote has yet to name his successor.

Wirecard AG

Wirecard AG wants to propose that its shareholders elect Thomas Eichelmann, former CFO of Deutsche Börse AG, to the company's supervisory board at its June 18 annual general meeting, Handelsblatt wrote, adding that according to insiders, he could advance to the head of the board by 2020.

Credit Suisse (Schweiz)

Daniel Hunziker, head of strategy and member of the extended management board of Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG, has been nominated as new president of Zurich's bankers association, Zürcher Bankenverband, for election by the association's general assembly on Oct. 31.
