Westpac issues A$250M of Tier 2 notes

Westpac Banking Corp. issues A$250 million worth of subordinated Tier 2 notes.

The bank said that the notes will be treated as Tier 2 regulatory capital under the Basel III capital adequacy framework requirement implemented by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
