Toronto-based Canopy Rivers Inc. named Narbe Alexandrian president, with immediate effect.

Alexandrian, who most recently was a venture capitalist at OMERS Ventures, will manage the corporate development efforts and daily operations of the cannabis-focused private equity firm. He will be reporting directly to Canopy CEO Bruce Linton.
