Citadel LLC hired a team led by Michael Urias to manage a quantitative strategy, Pensions and Investments reported.

Urias was a portfolio manager at Hutchin Hill Capital LP. The other nine members of the team are also from Hutchin Hill, but Citadel spokesman Zia Ahmed did not disclose their names.

The team will manage money for the company's multistrategy hedge funds.

Additionally, Citadel appointed Eric Felder as head of its Aptigon Capital business, replacing Richard Schimel. Felder will remain leader of Citadel's fundamental strategies and global credit businesses.

Reza Shahi was named COO of Aptigon, which manages a long/short market-neutral equity strategy used in the company's multistrategy hedge funds.
