Liontown Resources Ltd. said March 19 that it will undertake a 4,000 to 4,500-meter drill program at the Kathleen Valley lithium project in Western Australia before April 1 to follow up on the lithium mineralization intersected at the Mount Mann and Kathleen's Corner prospects earlier in the year.
The 34-hole, reverse circulation and diamond drilling program aims to define the limits of the mineralization, which remains open for both prospects.
The results will be used to plan in-fill resource definition drilling, using at least two rigs, which will follow on immediately afterwards.
The company recently completed a maiden 3,339-meter reverse circulation drill program at the Buldania lithium project, also in Western Australia, which tested a number of spodumene-bearing pegmatites. It expects to receive assays within the next three weeks and will plan further drilling accordingly.
Liontown noted that it is well funded to rapidly advance its strategy to explore the two projects.
