China Steel Corp. said Oct. 9 that it called Lin Horng-Nan out of retirement to again serve as company president.

Lin had retired at the end of September but was rehired for a year to oversee the company's succession plans in the interim, Taipei Times reported.

According to the report, Lin will not receive a salary and benefits to meet legal requirements and company rules.
