VinaCafé Bien Hoa Q2 profit falls YOY

VinaCafé Bien Hoa JSC said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 640.12 dong per share, a decline of 65.0% from 1,827.10 dong per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 17.01 billion dong, a decline of 65.0% from 48.56 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.8% from 6.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 19.6% year over year to 615.77 billion dong from 765.72 billion dong, and total operating expenses fell 16.5% from the prior-year period to 588.25 billion dong from 704.20 billion dong.

Reported net income fell 54.0% on an annual basis to 38.19 billion dong, or 1,437.00 dong per share, from 83.01 billion dong, or 3,123.18 dong per share.

As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 22,103 dong.
