ECB sets 2017 CET1 requirement for ABN AMRO

The ECB gave ABN AMRO Group NV a minimum common equity Tier 1 requirement of 9.0% for 2017 as part of its Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process.

The fully loaded CET1 requirement is expected to rise to 11.75% in 2019, after the full phase-in of the systemic risk buffer to 3.0% from 1.5% in 2017 and the capital conservation buffer to 2.5% from 1.25%. ABN AMRO's fully loaded CET1 ratio stood at 16.6% at the end of September.
