Verizon Digital Media Services names former Fox exec as chief product officer

Verizon Digital Media Services Inc. has named Ariff Sidi as the company's new chief product officer, according to a July 26 news release.

Sidi, previously Fox Networks Group's senior vice president of digital products and platforms, will manage the division's global product portfolio of live and video-on-demand delivery, monitoring and content delivery network services for broadcasters and content providers.

Los Angeles-based Sidi reports directly to Ralf Jacob, Verizon Communications Inc. unit Oath's head of digital media services.

Verizon Digital Media Services is part of Oath, while Fox Networks Group is a unit of 21st Century Fox Inc.
