Asmo fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Asmo Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥4.88 per share, a decline of 54.3% from ¥10.68 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥68.4 million, a decrease of 54.3% from ¥149.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.6% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 6.1% year over year to ¥4.41 billion from ¥4.15 billion, and total operating expenses increased 9.9% on an annual basis to ¥4.30 billion from ¥3.91 billion.

Reported net income totaled ¥86.0 million, or ¥6.13 per share.

As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥124.29.
