Goldman Sachs affiliate completes equity investment in ND wind project

An affiliate of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. on Jan. 20 completed the acquisition of an indirect ownership stake in IIF US Holding 2 GP's Sunflower Wind Project.

FERC approved the affiliate's proposal to become tax equity investor in the facility Nov. 22, 2016.

After completing the deal, the affiliate assigned the stake to AEG Sunflower Wind LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, according to a Jan. 25 FERC notice.

The 104-MW wind farm is in Morton County, N.D., and supplies power to Basin Electric Power Cooperative under a 25-year contract. (FERC docket EC17-14)
