ZeptoMetrix Corp. withdrew a patent infringement case against Microbix Biosystems Inc. in the Canadian federal court after the companies reached an undisclosed settlement.

The lawsuit involved a patent with claims related to methods for molecular or DNA diagnostics, the fastest growing segment of the testing industry.

ZeptoMetrix cannot reassert the case in the Canadian federal court as a result of the settlement.
