JPM Capital seeks to become tax equity investor in 20-MW Calif. solar project

JPM CapitalCorp. is seeking FERC approval to make a tax equity investment in a20-MW AC solar facility in Los Angeles County, Calif.

In exchange for its investment, the subsidiary willacquire 100% of passive stake in sPower's North Lancaster Ranch, according to a FERCfiling. The commission has been asked to approve the transaction by Nov. 18.

The project is expected to enter commercial operations inDecember. It will sell power to Edison International subsidiary under a20-year contract.

sPower, which is legally known as , willmanage day-to-day operations of the project through a subsidiary.(EC17-2)
